Taking a pH reading from a sample, sending the data via serial interface to my customer program Data Hunter, DataHunter looks up the short sample ID I key in and funds the appropriate LIMS ID then transmits the information to LIMS in the correct data format
auto recalling the pH value into our LIMS system (Truechem by TrueLogic Inc.)
Argus Lab Alert program I created and coded using python. It allows for various applications and instruments to send data from around the campus to the program to make both verbal and written scrolling alerts in our lab. I set this up for other departments too.
Example of integration of lab equipment to my Argus program. Custom scripting I wrote to integrate popular lab analysis software to send alarm or notification data to the above Argus DataHunter.
Clicky Click Data grabber tool I created using python. Allows for automation from hard to export programs to use the clip board to ID and transmit lab data to LIMS system- no need to record in lab notebook by hand.
3D printed 75% Cu Resin custom sample resin heat exchanger to rapidly cool sample with circulating ice bath chiller water.1. This photo showcases my experimental ORP probe qualification test apparatus. 2. The test aimed to collect preliminary data as a proof of concept, verifying its viability. The objective, with supportive test data, is to secure additional funding for specialized lab equipment capable of reading millivolts with high impedance inputs. This equipment is crucial for sensitive measurements necessary for precision in ORP probes.
The photos are from my Design of Experiment (DOE), which focused on determining the optimal sample preparation techniques, including reagent concentrations and types, to minimize solution colloids and excess metal cations such as Cu^2+, Ca^2+, and Ba^2+. The aim was to enhance precipitate formation through targeted reactions, with a critical emphasis on ensuring that the analyte ions remain unchanged.
I submitted a request to management for the purchase of a 75” TV for the lab, following my successful demonstration of programmatically connecting to the SCADA systems. This capability allows us, the lab technicians, to access both live and historical data on production equipment from around the campus, which we routinely test.
